Writing mode, is it the same as directly talking to an LLM?

Hi,

I'm wondering what the difference is, between talking to ChatGPT or Claude Opus directly on their respective sites, vs talking to them thru Perplexity via Writing mode? Are there any specific weights or prompting that makes it more limited? I need to know before deciding to subscribe to pro. Thanks
